Tucked away down a winding country lane on twelve acres of Tamar Valley countryside, right on the edge of Dartmoor, Wonwood Barton is a unique wedding venue full of charm and character. With sweeping views towards Cornwall, this historic farmstead offers a magical rural setting for an unforgettable celebration. Thoughtfully converted from original farm buildings, it features a traditional beamed roundhouse, a colourful courtyard, eclectic private suites, a south-facing lawn, and extensive grounds – giving you endless possibilities for your day.
The courtyard, rich with greenery and rustic charm, is perfect for welcome drinks, canapés, or relaxing in the atmosphere. Festoon lighting brings a warm Mediterranean glow on summer evenings and a romantic sparkle in winter, while the old creamery provides a picture-perfect backdrop for photos.
At the heart of the venue is the Roundhouse Barn, an early 19th-century converted grain store with a vaulted beamed ceiling and whitewashed walls. Seating up to 80 guests, it’s ideal for intimate weddings, sharing banquets, or vintage afternoon teas. For larger celebrations, the expansive lawn overlooking the Tamar Valley offers a beautiful blank canvas for a marquee, accommodating up to 120 guests with flexible layouts. The Greenfield is available from June to August – an enchanting setting to create lifelong memories.
